I still swim

The bubbles pop
I gulp a few salty mouthfuls that scorch my throat
Like I said, my limbs ache and feel sorry

The horizon is swirling
The possibilities swimming

Halfway through is not half finished
Half way there is half way left

Pessimism or sarcasm
I still swim

Boxed and typed

Fatigue and a shrinking inside
Coldness and that itching need

Checked and rechecked

I clutch it in my hand
No sweat rolling down my face

Four sided shapes and many faced people
Mask the fear within

A neat box
wrapped with little plastic ribbons and pins

Numbers and letters border the inside
and color the sheets

Ripples all over my vision
Buildings and books merge

No, I am NOT studying too much

Inside me
Creating waves
and that unseen silence

Despite those shadowy warnings
and speedy breaths
No one told me

Anger can take one out
and bring one in

But seething hate
makes the eye fear

Her eyes were almost invisible, they emanated an aura of evilness
They created an amazing ring of fear in their frightened minds

He felt none of it
he felt the hollowness
and empty feeling of being lost
of trying to claw back into the world where he lived

But now he was giving up
His soul was being shredded by her claws
He couldn't see her
but he could see her rings of fear
